Building Climate Finance Capability at Dhirubhai Ambani University
Planetary Plus delivered a climate finance training at Dhirubhai Ambani University, and the two organisations continue to collaborate on ESG capability building.

Why climate finance, and why now
India's climate ambitions will be financed, not just declared. For banks, businesses, lawyers and policy professionals, understanding how capital moves towards climate action — and what evidence it expects in return — is becoming as important as understanding the regulation itself.
What the training covered
- ●India's climate finance architecture. National and project-level finance, development finance institutions, banks and CSR funds, and how each is accessed.
- ●Disclosure as the language of capital. How BRSR, TCFD and IFRS S2 (ISSB) shape what lenders and investors ask companies to report.
- ●Evidence behind the claim. Why credible measurement, through greenhouse gas accounting and life cycle assessment, decides whether a sustainability claim can be financed.
- ●Applied exercises. Realistic cases that let participants practise reading, questioning and structuring climate finance opportunities.

Training built the way we consult
Our training follows the same logic as our consulting: measurement first, interpretation second, and a decision at the end. Sessions combine clear explanation of the frameworks with worked examples, so that participants leave able to apply what they have learned rather than simply recall it.
A continuing collaboration
The session at DAU Law is part of an ongoing collaboration between Planetary Plus and Dhirubhai Ambani University, focused on building ESG and climate finance capability.
